Personnage principal/Main character
LAURENCE
Age: 40-60
Laurence is a 45 year old married father of one daughter, and has recently become a grandfather. He is someone who has been focused on his career for much of his life and his relationships have suffered as a result.
He can be quite controlling towards those close to him, especially his wife. Now his wife has announced she is leaving him Laurence has started to unravel.
This role could be an excellent show reel piece for the right actor. It would be beneficial if the actor speaks some English, however it is essential the actor has a drivers license.
Production
The film will run for between 3 and 5 minutes and takes place entirely in Laurence's car as he drives through the city. He speaks to several other characters on his phone (on speaker phone) but he is the only character seen on screen.
Due to the nature of the film the crew will be very minimal. We envision that the production will take one evening of perhaps 3-4 hours. The director, James Barry, is an Australian who has recently moved to Paris. He has studied at the International Film School Sydney and has a background in commercial photography and fashion films.
